It had started out as a normal run, with Lunéve bouncing her way merrily through the park on her way to the shopping arcade and a milkshake, her mp3 player strapped to her arm and her music blaring so loud that anyone who got close enough could probably hear it too.
And then "I Will Survive" came on. Normally this song wasn't on the playlist, but this time..
Her feet began to not want to run any more, and she jumped up on a small wall and gave in, dancing without a care about who was watching, claps and bootyshakes and all.
"Go on now go~ Walk out the door~ Just turn around now~ Cause you're not welcome any more~ Weren't you the one who tried to break me with goodbye~ You think I'd crumble~ You think I'd lay down and die~ Oh no not I~ I will survive~ Oh as long as I know how to-- Oh!"
Having finally opened her eyes, she realised she'd drawn a small crowd, blushed, jumped off the wall and kept running.
The milkshake suddenly seemed the best idea she'd ever had.

Cael was a part of that small crowd. He'd been walking through the park, feeling too listless to study or be productive, but still with enough energy to want to do something. So he'd decided to walk, hoping something would happen. Sure enough, something interesting did. A girl who seemed familar, possibly from school, was dancing like a lunatic upon a wall.
While her voice wasn't bad, her dancing was something else. When she finally noticed the crowd, she jumped and took off. Feeling somewhat adventerous, he decided to follow her. Her pace wasn't too hard to keep up with.

Lunéve eventually stopped and leant against a tree, too embarrassed to run much more. Pushing her hair out of her face with one hand, she turned to look behind her, and noticed that someone had followed her. He seemed familiar - but she couldn't place where from, school or the bar, everything was running together right now - and she smiled weakly, blushing considerably out of what was probably shame.
"I'm sorry you had to see that." she said once she had her voice back.

Cael had stopped up short of where she was, at a tree a few feet off. He shrugged, he was relatively used to behavior as such (think Maverick). "Just wondering why. It's not everyday one sees a display like that at a public park." Voice somewhat teasing, though in a solemn manner, he continued to stare at her, still trying to place her face.
He leaned his head to the side as he rested against the tree. Tired of waiting for his memory to recognize her, he posed the question, "Do I know you from some place?"

Lunéve tried not to blush any harder, but her colour deepened by a few shades. "Well...it's not every day I have that song with me." she said in a slightly smaller voice. A weak argument, and she knew it.
Switching the player off, she ran a hand through her hair and looked at the sky for a second before she continued. "If you go to the high school it'd make sense."

Caelum's mouth twitched at the sides as she blushed. At her comment, about the high school, he nodded. That's where he'd seen her. "Caelum," he said as he extended his hand towards her.
He still couldn't remember if he had any classes with her, but now he could recall having seen her a few times during the lunch period.

Lunéve smiled, and shook Caelum's hand vigourously. "Lunéve. It's nice to meet you properly."
Letting go, she tilted her head to one side. "I was going to get a milkshake. Want to come with me?"

"Not really." Lunéve said, blushing a little. "I was just going to wander around, see what's open, and choose from those. Know anyplace good?"
She toyed idly with a stray piece of hair as they walked. "I haven't been in a café for ages."

Caelum removed his hand and pointed in the directiond they were headed. "There's a nice one down the street." He replaced his hand and continued walking, keeping pace with her steps.
"So you run a lot?" he asked, trying to make conversation.

Lunéve smiled broadly and blushed a little. She was doing that more and more lately... "Yeah. I used to be really hyperactive as a kid, so I'd run around all the time, and I guess I never really wanted to stop. But what about you? What do you do in your spare time?"

Cael smiled slightly, "Mostly video games... But I also swim and I have a friend who has recently made me start playing DDR..." he trailed off, remembering the first time Maverick had made him try the game, and filmed it.
As they reached the street corner, he pushed the button and leaned against the pole, waiting for the sign to flash the walk sign.

Rem looked around, bored.
Sipping his strawberry-kiwi boba, he spotted a cute-looking couple out for milkshakes. ugh.... milkshakes. he shuddered at the thought. the crowd today was thin, so he wanted to take a break from doing little magic tricks. Sure, it wasn't really his job, but it was extra money. He began to follow the couple, curious to know what they were doing.

She blushed again, and turned her face away. Was it her, though, or was someone following them? Shrugging it off as probably nothing, she looked over the road at the far lights.

Rem stared after the two, finally deciding that they'd be walking around forever to get to wherever they were going. Sighing, he began to walk towards the Voltage arcade to play some DDR or something.
